Things to do in Biloxi for teenagers

What is there for teenagers to do in Biloxi?

We're considering a couple days in Biloxi during our family trip during Christmas break, but it doesn't seem like there's much to do for teenagers.  Are there any activities for teens or would they be bored out of their minds?

Winter is actually a bit of a down season in Biloxi as far as activities for teens because the water at the beach is chilly then, and so are most of the hotel pools, but there are some things for them to do around town.  It really depends on their interests.  There are arcades at IP and Beau Rivage that have plenty of games for older kids, and there's also an arcade and miniature golf at Big Play Family Fun Center. If they play real golf, there's plenty of opportunity around Biloxi for that, too, of course.  They're probably a bit old for most of the exhibits at the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center , though they do have a few things of interest to older kids.  It's a great museum for the young ones, though!  There will also be some Christmas events going on; just depends which dates exactly you'll be in town.

Thanks, Laura.  I'm not exactly sure what the dates would be, but I think we're looking at being in Biloxi the 21st and 22nd.  Can you recommend any special events going on then?  Hubby and I would like to do some gambling and let the boys go off on their own for a bit -- they're 18 and 16 -- but we're also up for anything that we can do together one day even if it's not right in Biloxi.

Hi Mary,

Most of the Christmas events in our area are earlier in the month (probably the same in most places, I think), but the Beau Rivage will have a Spirit of Christmas show every night at 7 p.m.  The show should be pretty entertaining, family friendly and about $10 per ticket.  Beauvoir, the Jefferson Davis home, also gets all decked out for the holidays, with the grounds beautifully lit up and tours of the house, which is an interesting stop for history buffs any time of the year.  The weather in December can be warm and sunny or cool and rainy; you just never know what you're going to get on any particular day.  But if it's nice while you're here, it will still be enjoyable to stroll on the beach, and the kids can also walk around the Hard Rock and look at the music memorabilia and such.  It's true Biloxi isn't kid or teen-focused, especially in winter, but for a couple days there should be plenty to keep them entertained, and you'll all have a ball.  Hope that helps!

Thanks, Carter!  Sounds like there should be plenty to keep them entertained for a day or so, and hubby really wants to get some blackjack in, so we're gonna do it :-)

Hi Mary, just wanted to let you know that we've just added a new  Christmas in Biloxi  page that we'll be updating regularly with details on special events around town this Christmas.  Hope that helps!
