Margaritaville Resort Biloxi (formerly Margaritaville Casino)

Margaritaville Casino Biloxi
Margaritaville Resort and Family Entertainment Center was only a few short years ago Biloxi's newest casino. Then suddenly it was Biloxi's newest casino to close down. Fortunately it's now Biloxi's premier non-casino family resort.

In keeping with Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville brand, it was designed to be a breath of fresh air in the casino world, but it fits right in the family resort world. The common areas that used to be the casino offer big windows that let plenty of natural light into the resort, as well as unusual tropical-style touches. The decor, entertainment selection and staff attire also reflect a laid-back, island-hopping ethos (and of course there is a marina).  There are there onsite restaurants, Margaritaville Cafe and the Landshark Bar and Grille.

Restaurants at Margaritaville Casino Biloxi

Feeding Frenzy Buffet

The Feeding Frenzy Buffet is Margaritaville's take on the ubiquitous casino buffet, and it's on the small side in terms of selection and seating among Biloxi casino buffets. It's also relatively reasonably priced, though: weekday breakfast for $5 ($7 without a players club card), lunch for $10 and dinner for $15. On weekends Feeding Frenzy offers a tropical brunch from 9-3 for $15 ($18 without players club card), including one free mimosa or bloody mary. The casino also has a steak and crab legs dinner buffet on Fridays and Saturdays for $19, or $22 for guests who are not members of the Margaritaville players club.  One little gimmick that may appeal to some guests is that Feeding Frenzy Buffet serves one of Jimmy Buffett's personal favority meals each day.

Margaritaville Restaurant

Well yes, since you asked, of course you can get a Cheeseburger in Paradise at Margaritaville! You can also get a variety of other sandwiches and burgers, as well as other entrees, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, and a kids menu. Margaritaville Restaurant seats 400, including balcony seats that overlook the water and marina, and it's open from 11-10 Sun-Thurs and 11-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. In keeping with the laid-back sensibilities, the restaurant offers casual dining. Blue-plate lunch specials are offered daily for $7, and there is a happy hour from 5-7 p.m. daily with 2-for-1 well drinks and wine, as well as $2 drafts and margaritas. Maybe you can get happy hour pricing at any other time of the day if you plead that it's 5 o'clock somewhere. Probably not, though. A highlight of Margaritaville Restaurant is the $3.99 late-night breakfast offered Fridays and Saturdays from 11 p.m. - 1 a.m, which is a great time for breakfast in Biloxi.  A 10% discount is offered every day for active military and veterans (sorry, discount does not apply to alcohol). The Volcano Bar is open the same hours as the restaurant, and of course you can find a huge assortment of margaritas and other island-y drinks here, as well as the famous Volcano Girls.

LandShark Bar & Grill

Located the the Margaritaville's LandShark Landing Marina, this bar/restaurant offers tiki bar fare in a tiki bar atmosphere, including live entertainment and frozen drinks. Patrons can visit by land or can pull up their boats to the marina. The restaurant is open only on weekends, from 4-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 4-10 on Sunday. Three outdoor blackjack tables are nearby, also open only on weekends, weather permitting.

Getting to Margaritaville Resort Biloxi

Margaritaville Biloxi is located at 160 5th Street, Biloxi, MS 39530. From I-10, take the Division St. exit and head east to Oak Street; take a right on Oak Street and then a left on 5th Street. The casino is on the left at the end of 5th St, overlooking the mouth of Biloxi's Back Bay. Parking is free and ample, though the rather elongated parking lot can make it quite a hike to the front door if the casino is crowded and you have to park at the far end.
